Show your dad (or other important adult male in your life 18 years or older), the Girl Scout way to camp and enjoy the natural beauty of the Cove. The two of you will enjoy a variety of adventures, fun and camaraderie. Hiking, preparing your meals and, of course, singing around the campfire are all part of your rustic outdoor experience. Bring your own tent and count the nighttime stars or sleep in one of the Cove’s shelters (please note if you want a shelter on your registration form). Swimming available on Sunday.

Blast Into the Past

At this weekend adventure you will take a step back in time to the way Girl Scouts lived life in the 1940’s. Learn the "the old fashioned way" to weave a basket; make a rag rug, hand dip candles, cook using a dutch oven and much more!

Angel Island Backpacking Experience

Take hiking to the next level…join us for an introduction to the adventures of backpacking! No experience is needed. Learn the basics of backcountry travel, map and compass reading, and of course, SAFETY. You’ll spend the first three days preparing for your experience, then head to Angel Island, where you’ll backpack from the mountains to the bay! Participants will need sturdy walking shoes, a lightweight outdoor sleeping bag and sleeping pad. NOTE: Backpacking is a physically strenuous activity. You must be able to carry 20% of your body weight.

Ever wondered what caused Alice to fall down that rabbit hole? It was poor financial planning. Along the way, she met some characters that depict various types of financial planners. There was the Mad Hatter, an eccentric millionaire who let his money work for him so that he didn’t have to wok for it; the Queen of Hearts who owned the town and everyone in it; and then there was the Cheshire Cat who lived in a tree without a care. What type of financial planner will you be? Join us at this camp where, through a bit of Disney™ Magic, we explore the steps necessary to secure your financially fit future. This camp brought to you in collaboration with the Merrill Lynch Foundation.

On the Road Again… Escalante Adventure

Come join the OTRA crew as we explore the American Southwest. Camp under the stars as we venture into the beautiful red rock country of Utah, Arizona, and Colorado. We will explore 8 National Parks and Monuments including Zion, the Grand Canyon, Canyon de Chelly, Mesa Verde, and Arches. Adventures will include visiting Four Corners (where AZ, UT, CO and NM meet), an all day exploration of a canyon by 6 wheel drive truck, visiting a cave, visiting ancient cliff dwellings, and hiking through a slot canyon beside a rushing river. Who knows we may even eat...pickle pie. A physical examination within two years of the final day of the trip is required.

USA Tennis Camp

This 4-day camp has it all, tennis instruction and recreational swimming in a country club setting! You will enjoy beginner or intermediate tennis instruction in the morning and enjoy frolicking in the pool in the afternoon. Bring your racquet if you have one, otherwise we’ll let you borrow one of ours. No swimming instruction is provided. A swim test will be given on the first day of camp.

Are you ready for adventure? Take a trip through time and meet four amazing girls who lived long ago. Along the journey, you will discover the past as you take part in crafts, cooking and games just like the American Girls did! Travel the Lewis & Clark Trail with Kaya, learn about the Armijo family with Josephina, follow in the steps of the 49ers with Kristen and learn to cook outdoors just like Molly did at Camp Gowonagin! There will be a sleepover for girls’ grades 4 – 7 on Friday night.

Smooth Sailing

Back by popular demand! In collaboration with the California Maritime Academy, Napa-Solano Area will again present a sailing camp. Come join us at this 5-day boating camp and learn the ins and outs of Sailing smart from U.S. Sailing instructors from the California Maritime Academy. Junior Girl Scouts will earn the Small Craft and Water Fun badges and Cadette Girl Scouts will earn the Smooth Sailing I.P. while learning safe boating and water safety. Then register for Anchors Away to gain more advanced sailing skills. REGISTERING GIRLS MUST BE ABLE TO SWIM 50 YRDS AND TREAD WATER FOR 2 MINUTES. A swim test will be given on the first day of camp.

Girls, who’ve already experienced the benefits of Smooth Sailing or have had some boating experience, will have the opportunity to learn more advanced sailing techniques at this camp. You will enjoy fun-filled days of sailing and sailor games. Improve your sailing skills, learn new knots, discover the marine environment and delight in fun sailing races. REGISTERING GIRLS MUST BE ABLE TO SWIM 50 YRDS AND TREAD WATER FOR 2 MINUTES. A swim test will be given on the first day of camp.
